eclipsedonmyoji | [Ninth Stanza]: [Accidental Audio]

[Daisuke's comm clicks on, and though distant, he can be heard muttering rapidly to himself, apparently in a panic of some kind. What can't be seen is that his powers are going haywire, and things are floating around the room, rising and falling erratically.

There's a loud banging on the door, and he lets out a frightened scream.]

GO AWAY! Go away go away...

Dai! It's me, Ana! Open your door!

[Ana bangs on the door again, Daisuke screams again, and something is thrown against the door, causing the object to shatter loudly.]

NO! DON'T TOUCH ME! D-don't... don't... LEAVE ME ALONE!

What the hell, Daisuke?! Let me in! I'm not going to hurt you!

NO!

[Another scream, louder and shriller this time, and several objects go flying, hitting walls, the door, other objects. Muffled amongst the noises is a threat from Ana that she'll break down the door if he doesn't unlock it. When he screams again, the door cracks and thuds open, Ana entering only to get beaned in the head with a flying lamp and thrown back out in to the hallway, door slamming closed via Daisuke's power.]

Sh-shit! Some one help! Something's wrong with Dai!

No no no... l-leave me alone LEAVE ME ALONE!

[Daisuke hits the ground under the tackle, but keeps flailing weakly. Some of the flying objects start to lower or come down completely.]

OFF! GET OFF! DON'T TOUCH ME!

*Keiji wasn't the most...normal of people. Sometimes he thought of things in weird ways. Sometimes likening them to stories, like TV and books. And that's what he did now.

So what did he do?

Why, kiss Daisuke to snap him out of it, of course.*

[Well, that's certainly one way to get a person out of a hallucinating nightmare.

It takes him a second to calm, but for about a half a minute afterwards he just lays there, staring at Keiji before speaking.]

... you can quit now. I can't breathe.

*Pulls away then, letting out a sigh of relief.* Good. You're normal again.

[shoves him off and sits up, grumbling in annoyance at his trashed room]

Relatively speaking... [takes a deep, shaking breath, holding his head in his hands] Oww... sweet fuck... what the hell was that?

*Rolls off him, content to just stay on the floor for the moment.*

My guess? The nightmares going around hit you and you reacted badly.

... damn. I thought I was more protected than that.

[sigh]

That wasn't just a nightmare...

Well, they have been appearing outside of dreams. Seems to be a two pronged attack.

...what'd you see?

[curls his legs up and wraps his arms around him]

Something I thought I'd finally forgotten...

That is the rather interesting thing. It does seem that whatever pops up is something expected...like the person knows...

... wonderful. So much for repressing memories.

[glances at worriedly]

I didn't hurt you, did I?

That is a good question, how they're getting that without people noticing.

Nah. I'm very limber and flexible. I can dodge stuff you throw around randomly easily enough.

Well, good. Wouldn't want you to get hurt 'cause of me.

[Precisely what he met to do. And moves to wrap his arms around his waist, resting his chin on his knee.]

Don't worry. I'm a rather hard person to hurt and keep down.

Of course I wouldn't have tried that if I wasn't able to get in contact with a healer to have healed those stitches all the way after I became conscious, but that's fortune for you.

[sighs again]

I'm just sorry I wasn't able to help you sooner during that...

Are you gonna be stupid too? I don't hold anyone to protect my life, but me and Funabashi. But I pay Funabashi to do it.

Oh, don't. [grunts in annoyance and looks away] I'm allowed to care about you...

Caring about me is different than trying to take any blame for my injury. It was my fault. The scars will be a lovely reminder of that. But I don't want people guilt tripping over me.
